Challenge
The challenge was to translate a retail brand into a physical educational environment within a zoological context, ensuring strong brand recognition and a coherent spatial experience. The system needed to be intuitive for children, credible for adults, and consistent across signage, navigation, and environmental graphics.
A deliberate use of Lidl’s yellow and blue introduced a bold visual contrast within the natural context, intentionally breaking with the surrounding environment to strengthen brand presence and ensure immediate recognition.
Project note: Created during my time as an in-house designer at Lidl Portugal. I led the visual design and handled final artwork production, under project guidance from Catarina Bettencourt.
