Brand Identity

Casa no Cais is a short-term rental in Vila Nova de Gaia built around the idea of living within an existing architectural memory rather than over it.

The identity is derived directly from the house itself, translating its most defining elements — burgundy window frames, warm yellow façade, and irregular architectural rhythm — into a restrained visual system. The project is guided by observation rather than invention, allowing the architecture to lead the design.

Challenge

The challenge was positional rather than aesthetic: to step away from the generic visual language of short-term rental branding and instead respond directly to the character of the house. Defined by history, imperfection, and presence, the goal was not to reinterpret the space, but to let it remain as it is and allow that authenticity to shape the identity.
